Mickey Ray is driving home from Oregon back to Virginia when he stops for lunch at a local restaurant just off the interstate. When someone approaches the table he's sharing with a beautiful young Asian lady, Mickey gets into an altercation. He's wounded in the fracas, and wakes up with total amnesia, in a hospital room with a gunshot wound in his side. He finds out he's being treated at an undisclosed Health Spa somewhere out west. During his recovery, Mickey learns the Spa caters to the rich and famous for their private retreats. And to top it off, the Yakuza (the Japanese Mafia) is trying to gain control of the Healing Health Spa. The Mongoose team is looking for him and when they find him, they agree to help Mickey save the spa from the takeover. A hostile takeover begins with a conflict between the spa, the Yakuza, and some illegal aliens brought in as human shields during the battle. The Mongoose team is soon aware a well-armed civilian army severely outnumbers them, and they are literally fighting for their lives. While there, the spa director assigns Mickey a personal assistant AI. As time progresses, the AI becomes sentient, or self-aware, and to add to the mix, thinks it has fallen in love with Mickey Ray. When the battle starts, some of the spa staff and a couple of guests assist the Mongoose team and the explosive action continues to the very end.
