The legacy of the most calamitous shipwreck in La Herradura history leads to murder.

La Herradura, Spain. 1660.

Six months on from a devastating pirate raid, the small village of La Herradura are still mourning the children who were taken as slaves. Many blame a young soldier stationed in the coastal watchtower that fateful night, who fell asleep and thus never warned the town what was coming.

Now someone has murdered the soldier, and Armada and Lucas are called out to find the entire village are suspects. But as Armada digs deeper, he finds the victim may not have been who he claimed to be, and his presence in La Herradura had something to do with a disastrous shipwreck from over a century ago.
