The Kuma Trilogy

A complete three book saga: The Kiss, A Great Love, and Tiger Mountain. A fictional trilogy rich in deep multiple character development. The story of great love and great loss, of living life well in the face of death, of an inner journey to overcome fear and pain to discover the great beauty of love and life, as seen through the eyes of a central character, and through the eyes of the many characters whose lives profoundly affects his.

The first book, The Kiss, starts the saga with, Soo Jin, a central female character and with multiple important supporting characters. Soo Jin matures as a woman through her conquering of anger and bitterness, to experience a magical love. The main character, Kuma, has his own inner demons to conquer, as he is faced with great loss. He learns to face the future, and himself, and grows as a man. His interaction with Soo Jin, profoundly alters both of their futures.

In the second book, A Great Love, Kuma again faces great loss, and continues to learn of life through a woman whose pure heart profoundly changed, not only his life, but the lives of many others. In the third book, Tiger Mountain, Kuma, still guided by his great love, learns the meaning of life, as taught by those who faced death with grace. Kuma then must face his greatest inner demon... himself, as he questions meaning in his life, and must choose between love, and the pain it sometimes brings, or death, and the resulting cessation of his inner pain.

The Kuma Trilogy takes the reader on an inner journey of deep emotion through a great adventure of the heart. The conquering of the inner pain and the psychological demons which so often derail so many people in life is achieved through living life with an open heart, as nurtured through love, and living life filled with the creative passion for music and an underlying philosophy as developed through, 'the flow'. Many lives are intertwined as each interaction affects the subsequent paths taken by those around them. The Kuma Trilogy is filled with the spiritual warriors and guides of the heart, as the many female characters profoundly affect Kuma, and the pure hearts of the disabled, and of those soon to die. It teaches the Tiger Philosophy of Kimo, a central male character who had helped heal Kuma, as well as many others, through his teachings of 'the flow'. The story demonstrates the great spiritual healing of music, as taught through the bass flute, by Jim, another main character. Most of all, it speaks of the truth of the transformational power a great love, through its many manifestations of, love at first sight, a deep and pure love, love of the pure hearted in life, of those of whom are afflicted with varying disabilities, and of the richness and great beauty of life open to all who but open their hearts to it.
