The Konnou Constituency in the Buin District of South Bougainville has struggled longer than most places to find peace in the post-crisis era. In his first book, The Konnou Crisis, Benjamin Heribeths gives a firsthand account of the conflict in Konnou, which ignited long ago over ideological differences. This continued well beyond the signing of the Peace Agreement as internal struggles for power and control usurped the traditional structures of society and the relative peace they brought.
