The Known Devil (No Masters Or Kings)

By J E Nice

Chased by bounty hunters, wanted for murder, Captain Bucky Winters is about to discover there are worse things.

Betrayal being one of them.

When Captain Bucky Winters is torn from his ship and crew to be thrown into jail back in his home city, all seems lost. Most don't make it out of the bounty jail alive and for once, Bucky is out of hope.

Not many people in the jail have a family like the Magpie's crew, though. If they can get through the city, resisting the allure of what could be, accepting their past, fighting their demons, it might be that they can rescue their captain.

Or perhaps the Devil will get there first.

The Known Devil is the fourth book in the No Masters Or Kings series.

This book is written and made by a human (hello ), and is registered with the Human-Authored scheme.

'There's worse things on this ship. There's the man who'll slit your throat for the highest bidder, an infamous surgeon, a pilot who can thread this ship through a needle, a bounty hunter with lawman dreams, a sharpshooter and you don't want to know what's in the engine room.'

The man smiled.

'And what about you? Where do you fit into that?'

Captain Bucky Winters met his eyes.

'I'm the one who tells them who and when to shoot.'
