THE KITS MUSIC THEORY CURRICULUM: Step by Step

This Curriculum summarizes the music theory fundamentals covered in The KITS Music Theory Course, all seven levels of the student workbooks also available on Amazon. These levels are appropriate for school age students beginning from the second grade through the senior year of high school. Since 1985 the course has been used successfully by independent music teachers across the nation, who have appreciated the straight forward approach and the emphasis on a basic understanding of what goes into making music. The Curriculum joins eleven student workbooks - seven levels and four supplementals - published online in 2017, and formerly available only through mail order. For all the decades since its inception, KITS also offered annual examinations, and you will note in the Curriculum the "Sample Test Questions" taken from those exams. As this Curriculum is published, annual editions of the exams are still available in the same format, differing as always only in specific content. At such time as annual tests become unavailable, an archive of several editions will also be published here.
