Many knowledgeable Christians may admit that the church has used several passages from the Gospel of Mark (and other writings in the Bible) to allow the church to have authority over them. But few would say it out loud. This is a daring research project which examines the Gospel of Mark using Ancient Bible Study Methods asking the question about the nature of each passage. Is the passage about the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of Church, a prophecy, the author's commentary, or an historical narrative.
