Jesus at the age of twelve uttered this profound statement, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?" (Luke 2: 49). God has a business It is the Kingdom business. It is the business of redemption. This is the heartbeat of God our King. Just as a businessman is constantly interested and doing anything he could do to make more money, so God is working to rescue, save, deliver, and redeem people for whom his Son has died. The business is called soul-winning, Evangelism, witnessing of his grace and love to people who have not come to realize and receive the grace and mercy of God. This is the business he calls all the redeemed people to come and actively participate in. It is his business, and we are graciously made partner of this great work of God. What a privilege
This manual will help us to understand our part in this divine business. God would have us inspired, informed, and be instructed about his business techniques before we venture out, otherwise we can fail and would not make any "profit." Our profit in this assignment is not money but SOULS of men. This is the concern of God: saving men. This is the reason Jesus came, suffered, died, and buried. After his resurrection, his purpose is to take humanity back to God having paid the price for our redemption and salvation. This is the Kingdom business. It requires faithfulness, urgency, commitment, and all that we have within us. It takes the grace of God in our life, and that grace is always available if we can only avail us of this grace. Let roll up our sleeve, put on our boots, and get to the field.
