Ollie, the gentle spirit of Halloween who has been creating magical October nights for over three centuries, begins to doubt himself when he witnesses some children being frightened by Halloween decorations and experiences. Worried that his mysterious presence might be causing fear instead of joy, he considers abandoning his true nature to become something safer and less Halloween-like. However, when three brave trick-or-treaters-Emma, Marcus, and Zoe-discover him hiding beneath an old oak tree, they invite him to join them for his very first Halloween night as a participant rather than an invisible orchestrator. Through their evening adventure of trick-or-treating, and meeting other children, Ollie begins to understand the true nature of his magic, and learns important lessons about: authenticity, friendship, and the difference between fear-based scares and wonder-filled mystery.
