The Killer Consequences

Running away from past problems only leads to new ones.

I took matters into my own hands in Wisp, North Carolina, and once again, I was on the run.

My name is Angela Gray, and I was still trying to get away from the past. I had a purpose this time. I was going to find my father. If there was any place that I could call home, I felt he might be able to provide that.

Instead, I found my aunt, Poppy Shepherd, my father's sister. She offers me a safe haven, a new place to call home. Exactly what I've been wanting since love was so hard to come by. But, of course, the way my life was headed, I should have known the safe haven that Poppy promised would come with complications and stipulations. And the horrible truth was that I would have to face my past in the process. No more running. No more hiding.

The question was would I survive the past as it crashed down around me, or better yet, would I find a future where I could stop running?
