Humorous words every parent needs.

The KidDictionary: A Book of Words Parents Need But Don't Have The KidDictionary is a collection of sniglets (words that don't appear in the dictionary but should) that are all about kids and parenting. For example, a Kodick is the one child who refuses to cooperate in the taking of a family photograph. Among the many terms thought up by Ruhalter, there are a few that describe experiences especially familiar to fathers: - Daduation: The painful realization that you are quickly and irreversibly turning into your parents. - Stonewail: The strategic act of displaying no emotion in response to your child's public tantrum. - Farfer: The half-terrified, half-exhilarated squeal a 5-year-old girl emits while being kissed by her grandfather. - Disheart-to-Heart Talk: Disappointing responses to your sincerest proclamations of love for your children. Dad: "I will love you and protect you forever and ever my sweetest little princess." Daughter (age 3): "Daddy, you have hair in your nose!" Each of the definitions is humorously illustrated by a small black-and-white photograph that gives the feeling of flipping though a family photo album. If you're already a father, you'll not only enjoy The KidDictionary but it will also reassure you that the sometimes outrageous experiences of raising kids are truly universal. Very Funny Book!

A must have for parents, grandparents, caregivers etc. All parents will be able to instantly identify with this "new vocabulary" that the author has created. Love it!

Hysterical!

Leave it to this author to coin terms for those very commonplace, yet often bizarre events that occur in every parent's and child's life! This book is humorously written and creatively illustrated with adorable photographs. Kudos to this author for providing parents, grandparents (and even chidren) with a refreshing lexicon . I purchased two copies of this book, but will definitely be ordering more for gifts!

AWESOME BOOK!

The KidDictionary is truly funny - my husband and I don't even have any kids of our own, and we thought it was hilarious. We actually found ourselves laughing out loud most of the way through the book. We had purchased several copies to give to friends but now are keeping one for ourselves. Definitely would make a great gift, but pick one up for yourself too - not only will you be thoroughly entertained, but you may find yourself using some of the words you learn in everyday conversation...

HILARIOUS!

This innocuous looking little book is a GEM! Anyone who has kids, knows someone who has kids, or avoids kids whenever possible will still love this book. The combination of words and photos are perfect. Would recommend for ALL. An especially great gift for anyone expecting a 2nd child.
