New York Times Bestseller "John Grisham, move over...A riveting tale of murder, treachery, and skullduggery at the highest levels." -- Seattle Times In a courtroom, David Sloane can grab a jury and make it dance. He can read jurors' expressions, feel their emotions, know their thoughts. With this remarkable ability, Sloane gets juries to believe the unbelievable, excuse the inexcusable, and return the most astonishing verdicts. The only barrier to Sloane's professional success is his conscience -- until he gets a call from a man later found dead, and his life rockets out of control.
I couldn't put this one down. I am frankly surprised at all the bad reviews. CIA, espionage and political corruption are not my usual genre, and while The Jury Master title makes you think of courtroom dramas, this is not that. There was only one courtroom scene and that was at the very start of the book. There are a lot of characters in the story and at times I had to back track to see who was who, but for the most part, Dugoni did a good job of intertwining the varied characters and making them pretty easy to keep up and drawing them all together at the end. I really enjoyed The Jury Master and I will continue on with the rest of the series. This also serves as a lead in for the Charles Jenkins series which I will also read. Robert Dugoni remains, for me, an absolute favorite author. I have read almost all of his novels and have enjoyed every one.
Awesome Book!

Several of the soldiers here in Iraq passed this book around and were all very impressed. Dugoni's novel is fast, action-packed, and highly entertaining. Once started, the book is hard to put down. I personally read the book in one sitting as did several other soldiers here. If you like the action of Grisham and the descriptive qualities of King; you will love "The Jury Master." --Lt. Col. D. Awesome, edge-of-your seat legal thriller

David Sloane is an in-demand trial attorney with masterful speaking skills. He will win cases where other might not. David sometimes is haunted by his conscience as well as memories he cannot figure out. It's endearing his relationship with Melda since he has no other family. Tina is his faithful assistant who has loved him from a distance. Joe Brannick, a close friend of the President is found dead, supposedly a suicide in a National Park. David had received a phone message from Brannick and a package. Dangerous people want to know why Brannick called Sloane. Tommy Molia, a West Virginia detective also gets involved when told to back away from the case. It's an exciting, engaging novel that you won't want to put down!
Spin Doctor for the Thrill Reader

The Jury Master is fashioned to stun the reader with its deft narrative and fluid action. This book was written for those who desire a plot which moves beyond the contrived formula of authors like Grisham. It does not over tip the scales of believability nor does it force the reader to be fluent in legalese. Sloane is gritty enough to be compelling. Dugoni's writing is effortless...definitely for Cleary or Lescraort fans. BRAVO to Dugoni for spinning a yarn which can bind you to your chair from cover to cover without insulting your intelligence or replicating what has come before him...I will be buying copies of this for anyone vacationing this coming summer.
MAGNIFICENT DEBUT THRILLER!!!

First of all, I LOVED THIS BOOK.....completely, totally!!! When I started reading it, I really thought that I was going to read another legal thriller....wow, was I ever wrong!!! This is an amazing first novel....intelligent and so well written that it's difficult to believe that Robert Dugoni hasn't been writing books for years. The first hundred pages were the stage setting...the character development, the plot thickening....I had absolutely NO idea where this book was going (which I loved) but I knew I had to keep reading! It was like that proverbial onion with all of its layers revealing itself, layer by layer....revealing a chilling, cautionary tale....and then, more layers revealing such an explosive climax that it truly blew me away!!! There were so many twists and turns ... such a shattering event with the grand finale....wow!!! What an ending! What a book.....filled with intrigue, conspiracy, compelling urgency and so timely....the characters and relationships of Sloane and Molia as well as Jenkins and Hart....Tina and Melda....verrry strong characters. This incredible book far surpasses those of Grisham, Turow and Baldacci combined!!! I eagerly look forward to more fabulous books from this phenomenal writer, Robert Dugoni.
A top-notch thriller!!

The Jury Master is a wonderful thriller by an amazingly talented writer. It was hard for me to believe this wasn't Dugoni's 10th book. The writing is polished and the story keeps you hooked (put a few days aside to finish this amazing story). Another reviewer mentions layers upon layers and this is so true. You might think you are buying a legal thriller, but it is sooooooo much more. Since I'm lucky enough to work in a bookstore and so many people are constantly wanting a good book to read, this will be an easy handsell. In fact, if I could reach through this computer to put The Jury Master in your hand, I would (but I'm not that talented. . . .yet!)
