This book is the journey I have taken with hearing loss into hearing aids, and then to a Cochlear Implant. I tell of the trials and process to achieve the ability to hear again. The story also tells of the challenges I was given and still struggle to overcome.This book tells of "My" difficulties and journey. I have found that my case is very unique and that over 90% of Cochlear Implant recipients never experience what I have. It is NOT normal what I am involved with.This is to encourage people with hearing impairment to really consider an implant Even with my unique difficulties I would do this all over again in a heartbeat. To hear birds and the wind in the trees has made this whole thing worth every moment I deal with now.
