The Isle

In Post-Apocalyptic Medieval Japan, Aiko a young female Ujitzu ranger uncovers a futuristic underground society that is hellbent on taking over the surface. Following a contract to capture two western goofballs she finds out her ranger guild is brainwashing citizens to form a type of zombie army. It forces her to make the ultimate choice between honor and loyalty. This novelette contains fantasy elements created from Steampunk influences as well as historical references hidden in the text. I have also included images and memories from my own life, especially from my travels in Asia and Europe. Excerpts from my experiences in the building and demolition industry give this Asian fantasy world a reality-based feel. It has been a pleasure to write this novelette and share some of my life and ideas with others.
