The story involves a young man trying to find romance in sexual induced world. The main character wants to fall in love and have a meaningful relationship. His roommate Jack is the exact opposite. Jack tries to persuade Philip into following his regime of random sex and drinking and Philip refuses. Philip ends up falling for the Admiral's daughter, Andrea Kinninger. Philip has a cross to bear with this fact, due to his father's recent work history and falling out with Admiral Henry Kinninger.However, Andrea and Philip try to make it work before their relationship takes a toll when Andrea studies abroad at Oxford University in England. Philip graduates from the Naval Academy and ends up serving in the Navy.
