Iskra Incident

This book has a unique plot with the Soviet Senior Leadership dying off the coast of California in the first 20 pages. The plot then twists several times before the problem starts to be solved, with the villian remaining unknown until the very end. A good blend of science, military, and mystery, and the detail is very accurate. The main character shares many of the same views on the press and the state of the U.S. as I do, which is why I like the authors work.
