A renegade IRA group comes to America to attack British Diplomatic establishments in order to disrupt peace talks in northern Ireland. To finance their operations they rob banks. During their attacks several diplomats and American citizens are killed and wounded. FBI Inspector Ben Douglas and a team of agents are assigned the task of bringing them to justice. The trail leads up and down the east coast and across country to the Mexican border at El Paso Texas where a final violent confrontation takes place.
