A really tough row to hoe

If this book were a racehorse, it would be categorized as a paceless plodder. Halfway through the novel, I’m still mired somewhere on the backstretch. Always felt I already read what I was about to read; there’s just no momentum. My fault for disregarding the uninspiring and overused title of “The Invitation”. Also, I found the original purchase receipt stuck in the book’s middle, along with a discount coffee coupon, giving the impression the initial buyer bailed early.

My Favorite!

I found this book to be an incredibly satisfying read. My first Lucy Foley book and I was sucked into it from the first chapter. I loved the storyline and all the turns and details she throws in. I Love Lucy! Definitely recommend.
