Earth's new governor cajoles Gunken into joining a traitorous alliance, putting the major general's loyalties to the test. Escaping house arrest, Gunken and Deshi join allies in a civil war. Battle rages and the two lovers must choose between honor and loyalty. Amid the chaos, the fate of the Empire hangs in the balance
