field report

The Book is the story of the author making it to the other sides of the "cashflow-quadrant" (R. Kiyosaki) from employed to self-employed to finally investor and business owner. Unlike Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" it's not written from the distance of a succesful retiree, but from a still young entrepreneur who did not longer want to waste his most productive times and energy on someone else's business. Especially of interest: how he creates good-will to start long-term business-relationships, how to build multiple income-streams, thougths on the value of time and time-freedom.

"Intrepid Way" works!

Intrepid is a book that deliver results. I read "The Intrepid Way" a year ago. After reading the book, I was very much inspired by Matthew's courage in his journey toward personal freedom; hence, I made a committment to take "leap of faith" and go for it. Today, I am have acheived the freedom at age 34. I now have the freedom to spent more time with my family and work on interesting personal projects that I never had time to do before. There are many "street smart" concepts that Matthew shares in the book. My favorite ones are, 1) Expense and Income Layer - this is one step beyond what Robert Kiyosaki teaches in Rich Dad, Poor Dad. By truely understand the Expense and Income Layer, it made me realize that I don't have to be millionaire in order to retire young. 2) Leap of Faith - when things get tough, I continue to remind myself that I need to "take action" and have the "leap of faith" that things will work out. 3) Drafting Partners - I have leveraged through my mentor, my business partners and creating win-win to reduce the amount of time it takes to build up the needed knowledge and newtork. There are many more "street smart" concepts in the book. Yet, Matthew also had the formal MBA training; hence give him the gift to expalin his concept in an easy to understand fasion. I am highly recommend "The Intrepid Way" to anyone who want to walk awy from the corporate job and find better way to live out the life! Life will never be the same again. Another pivotal mindset book!!

I have spent many years and $$$ on personal education about investing, property & business building. For me, Matthew's concept of Money Layers (expense and income layering) was worth the price of the book. Everything else was a bonus. I rate the Money laying concept right up there with the Poor, Middleclass & Rich spending habits diagram from Rich Dad Poor Dad for insite provoking and thought changing. If passive income is something that calls to you, I suggest you should pay close attention to this concept. Chris Bridgeman

A joyful read for a few who refuse to be average ...

Are you unhappy with where you are in life right now and want to do something about it?Are you tired of doing the same thing day in and day out but are not satisfied with the result you get?Are you unsure of how to go about and draw up a personal plan to change how you do things everyday in order to get what you ultimately want?It is my personal observation that many times in my lifeI was deeply unsatisfied with where I was. I wanted to make a change but I seemed to go back to what I wasdoing because of two reasons: I could not come up with a clear workable alternative; I had the fear of unknown. In life, everyone has a "success formula". I realized that my success formula didn't work too well because I kept getting lousy results. I was working in secure, well paying jobs with benefits. But my heart was somewhere else. I then tried to start my own business and to do contract projects in computer software development. I made good living and gained a lot of business expertise and experiences. However I felt trapped and could not see a way out to my personal freedom: I have almost no control over how I spend my time; I have no income as soon as I stop working. I know I was created for a special purpose in life. I want to find out what that is. Ancient wisdom says it all: "never die with music in your heart." To me personally, when I read this book, by simply knowing that someone has been there and done that, with a clear "hiking trail" of success and failure, lesson learned and rewards obtained, my confidence level shoots up to the top because it is now tangible, workable. This book removed many of my blind spots and revealed doors of possibilities.I can see what it looks like. There is a blue-print, a template. Now it is easy for me to personalize it. I can take small steps consistently on a daily basis. I know I will get there soon by doing just that. It gives tremendous sense of personal freedom right now to know that I am committed to make small changes everyday. The outcome will take care of itself. The book is a living documentary because there is a companion Web site and it is updated frequently. So it can be fun to see how others are walking down their true path to fulfill their purpose.I have been wanting to make career change but I have been putting it off and could not figure out why. Now I realize that it was because I did not see an alternative. I attribute much of my new enthusiasm to reading this book and getting the insight on what are potentially available to me. It is tried and true and it can be simple. It makes my work now effortless because my decisions are easy. The question is not whether to read this book now for extraordinary insights and advices or to stick to the conventional "wisdom" and keep doing the same old thing and be average! The real question is this:do you want to live your life from inspiration or do you want to live your life the way you have always been living, tired, st

Excellent book for those that want financial & time freedom

Matthew Chan explains real well what we didn't learn from our parents or school teachers. He writes how we can achieve both financial and time freedom in these times of economic scenarios. He writes with simple language to understand simple concepts. I did not get bored reading "The Intrepid Way". Usually business and financial books are boring. But, Matthew kept my attention and focuses on reading and made it very interesting to read. I'm also going to share the information on "The Intrepid Way" with people that I come across and with my clients. He talks about residual income. That's music to my ears. I want to make money while I'm sleeping. Matthew writes for people to think where they are in relation to current circumstances in life and get the upper hand to become financially free. No more grinding work and say goodbye to captor type of environments.I like how Matthew expresses entrepreneurial mindset. He expresses through the power bestowed on each one of us. Use the power within and Matthew shows how to develop that inner power and transform into money and time power.I highly recommend "The Intrepid Way" and place it with the business library books for reference. I also recommend reading the book occasionally to get the juices flowing again.Great Reading
