That coin said what!

Yep, coins have a funny way of having foreign language and archaic symbols on them. So, what does it all mean? No book can be the be-all-end-all on any subject. That is why we have a library instead of a book fat enough to sit on at the table. This book is assembled by major people in the discipline, including R. Scott Carlton, a frequent contributor to many numismatic publications. The publisher is Krause, of which I am sure you are familiar. There are many high-quality drawings, photos, and great articles on numismatic topics. Even if you do not have a specific question in mind, you can have fun just perusing. Never again will you have to say, “That coin said what!” … O.K. “maybe” never again. Page 319 has a color picture sample of my major collection of Notgeld. Page 210 has a short definition of Notgeld.
