The book spans almost a century and takes the reader through the challenges of the coal industry, the lives his daughters, World Wars, the early days of Broadway and the motion picture industry. After the last daughter passes away Fisher Manor is sold and becomes a destination inn. Strange occurrences happen to brides before their weddings and even during the making a major motion picture.
