The Statute of Limitations is up. Years later, there is enough time and distance to be able to reminiscence about these events of the past, a crisis of conscience? Regardless, the following antics and shenanigans can now be reveled. They are all true except for the names that have been changed for their obvious protection. Even ole Bemis displays a measure of discretion; he would not completely "kiss and tell." Well, maybe the events but not the names. Even if you have never been associated with the schools involved, you will certainly be enthralled by the antics that go on behind closed schoolhouse doors. The good, or bad, thing about this whole scenario is that there are other Bemis' out there right now, perhaps even teaching your darling little prot?g?s. If perchance you are an educator, you might well get some ideas out of all these incidents, but be careful, some are highly illegal and carry probable jail terms. However, never hesitate to do what you think is right, for the sake of your students, just remember those in higher offices usually see through a glass darkly. Even if you are a wide-eyed educator, believe none of what you hear...half of what you see.
