I shan't speak badly of the infidel,
For I, at present, mightn't know better:
That notwithstanding, I hope they are well,
For I know a misstep by the letter.
Everybody, mainly, should know best,
For a wise man shan't withhold his wisdom;
When the wise die, sadly, we face a test:
We follow, for a while, the unwise sum--
Seeking experience to back our wits.
Though bought wit, now and then, is good,
(Everybody learns what stands and sits),
The wisest does exactly as he should.
I speak, therefore, a secret unto all:
Infidels can always obey the call.
