Infernally Good

I agree with the other reviewer! This is one of my fav horror books. Great to see a female heroine. Even better to have a double narrative which keeps the reader poised waiting to switch back a few hundred years. The pace of the novel is perfect. If you like Laruell Hamilton's Anita Blake vampire books then try this one--this heroine's a lot more believable...

Dark, goth fable

If you happen to like Poppy Brite and Caitlin Kiernan, don't miss this one. Kim Wilkin's first oeuvre (winner of the Australian Aurealis awards for best horror and best fantasy novel) stars Lisa, the gother-than-goth, prettier-than-pretty leader of a Sisters Of Mercy-like band who gets caught in a dark spiral of gory murders and erotic obsessions.
