This is the story of a mysterious old man who washes up on a tropical island inhabited by an omnivorous bog, a hairy soaperhero, terrifying cuckoodactyls, warring gnomes, a witch in a onesie, and all sorts of other weird and not-so-wonderful creatures. While the old man tries to remember who he is and what he's supposed to be doing there, he accidentally teams up with a band of the most diabolical beans imaginable and together they attempt to win a talent show, rescue a princess, rob a sweet shop, relocate some legs for a clay horse called Hamish Von Hooveswinkel, and help a boy from another dimension who is trapped inside an evil mastermind's hideously mutated body."The Incredible Adventures of Captain Cleveland Custard and His Band of Diabolical Beans" was written with my 9 year old son. Most of the good ideas are his and all of the spelling mistakes are mine.
