The book deals with the implementation of the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive in Austria and highlights the necessities and difficulties involved. The old and well-established concept of 'good morals' is replaced in Section 1 of the Unfair Commercial Practices Act, but it is clear that the new concept of unfair commercial practices continues in the spirit of the previous concept. Individual provisions of the Austrian UWG will, however, be derogated from.
