The Immortal Eights

Part 2 of The Crazy Eights saga. (Make sure you read The Crazy Eights: Black Ops 888 first).

For the first time in many millennia, the powerful Effect demons are feeling fear and panic. Before, they were uncontested in strength and numbers. Now, the demons are being slaughtered en masse. All because of The Crazy Eights. An elite paramilitary group once dedicated to serving the U.S. government is now committed to destroying The Effect and their minions. The Crazy Eights in their war against The Effect have made alliances with powerful deities such as Lugh: Celtic god of light, Fuxi: Chinese god of knowledge and wisdom, Po Yan Dari: Cambodian goddess of rice and healing, Diana: Roman warrior goddess of fertility, Aeolus: Greek god of wind, and Ogun: Yoruba god of iron and will. The Eights have also recruited new members such as Jonathan Steele, a superpowered being known as The Light and Nini Hunter, daughter of The Huntress, who wields the legendary Epirus Bow. Numerous successful missions by The Crazy Eights and the dwindling numbers of The Effect have caused the demons to become desperate.

In their desperation, The Effect unleashes the Coronavirus, forcing the world to come to a standstill. The Effect uses all of their worldwide resources to turn the tables in their favor. The hunters soon become the hunted as The Crazy Eights find themselves as wanted fugitives fighting against the governments of the world and constantly on the run. The battle between good and evil, the light and the dark continues with The Effect gaining the upper hand and victory for our heroes uncertain. The Crazy Eights in need of protection, form an unlikely union with the New Zealand government. As the war continues, The Crazy Eights must learn to "follow the children" in order to prevail against The Effect and bring back the light into a dark world.
