Brilliant Look at Time

This is how it's done. A brilliant look at time by a genuine scholar. Everything in this short (but deep) book shines. The author takes us on a whirlwind tour of ideas about time including but not limited to such ideas as those of the pre-Socratics, Aristotle, Newton, Einstein, and modern theorists. David Park includes many equations that even people without a backgroud in physics will find elucidating. You'll recall that Stephen Hawking in his superb "A Brief History of Time" refused to put more than one equation in the whole book - E=mc2 - for fear it would scare away potential readers. Park isn't afraid to teach us some challenging concepts. One might assume that such a glowing review means I know the author or have some interest in seeing this book sold. Well, I don't. I just enjoy these sorts of books. A new book named "Chronos" by Prof. Etienne Klein is excellent but not remotely as interesting as this book, for it (Klein's book) is mostly a psychological and literary treatment of time.
