THIS BOOK IS VERY GOOD,THERE ARE A LOT OF INFORMATION ABOUT ANTI-TERRORIST FORCES OF THE WORLD.IT'S FULL WHITH COLOR PICTURES,BUT YOU FORGOT SOME VERY GOOD UNITS LIKE WHAT YOU CAN FIND IN HAITI.WE HAVE A VERY EFFECTIVE SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM "LE GIPNH".IT IS A WELL TRAINED TEAM AND THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL.NEXT TIME ,THINK ABOUT THEM WHEN YOU WILL PUBLISH SUCH BOOK.

Wow..and not so...

I was attracted by the flashy cover and promptly bought it. Being a seasoned enthusiast, i was slightly disappointed at the wrong descriptions here and there. Also, the section for Singapore did not have much information! Do you need some help with that?

Groundbreaking material

This book is a comprehrensive examination of the world's top couinter-terrorist units, that includes never before seen photographs of many of the world's most elite and top-secret forces. Although security restrictions are evident throughout the book, it is clear that this book will assume an important spot on the library shelves of police and military units around the world.

Quite a good book, with some holes in it. Still 5 stars

Samuel Katz writes some of the best books on special forces and this is one of his best. It is basically an encyclopedia of counter-terrorism forces, from the smallest in Brazil to the SAS and DevGroup. It's holes are somewhat clunky writing in places, probably due to difficulties with English, as well as little information on the Russian and Japanese counter-terror units. This is due to the secrecy around these units. All in all, the best out there of it's kind. Hopefully, there will be an updated edition some day.
