The enemy is constantly after our identity. Why? Because he knows if he can ever minimize who we are he has a greater chance at defeating us. When we struggle with our identity if we are not careful and deal with the root issues of our struggle we can find ourselves in the middle of a identity crisis. It's so important for us not to allow our past, present and future circumstances to put us in a mindset where we don't recognize who we are in Jesus Christ. What you face in life does not determine who you are, but only through Jesus Christ can you establish your true identity. The Father wants our identity foundation rooted and grounded in the Word (They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." Jer.17:8).
