Can a single symbolic map allow coherent work with both the Hebrew Kabbalah and the Chinese I Ching -without reducing either tradition to a metaphor?

In The I Ching Tree of Life, I propose a disciplined bridge between two classic languages of meaning. I begin with YHVH as a fourfold formula-a quaternity that structures creation in Kabbalah and clarifies the movement from emanation to embodiment. From there, I add a second layer: the Bagua as an inner "family," and a third layer through a precise working matrix-32 paths and 64 hexagrams-organized so that correspondences can be tested in practice rather than assumed.

This book is conservative in spirit-respectful of sources and traditional categories-yet innovative in method. It is designed to function in three concrete ways:

- As a study map: to read both systems as one symbolic architecture. - As an oracular framework: integrating I Ching consultation with Tarot (Kabbalistic and Marseille) and the Tree of Life. - As a workable method: I include a 16-card consultation technique that preserves the logic of the ancient yarrow-stalk method while remaining practical and repeatable, along with tables that allow fast cross- referencing between trigrams, worlds, paths, and hexagrams. A final section explores time-structures inspired by Terence McKenna, including an I Ching "cosmic clock," for readers interested in symbolic temporality. A final appendix in Mandarin Chinese is included for Chinese readers who want to try this ancient method instead of the three-coin method.
