a very delightful read!

This was a classic love story. Pleases read!! I would like to give a hoo ray to Mrs. Carmen Green who seems to be getting back on track with her classic way of writing timeless love stories about individuals who are not afraid to reinvent themselves and take second chances on love.

Oh my!

I'd rather not give any details. This is a great story of second chances. I loved it because it brought light to an important condition: TBI. I loved how the author made it all seem realistic, like you know the main characters. It is a great read! Definitely a must buy.

Incredibly Enjoyable Love Story

OMG!!! This book was so good. I loved that fact that Ms Green took a serious story of a man with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and put a humorous spin to it that did not distract from the seriousness of his injury. Rolland Jones was a man severely injured in a car accident. Melanie Wysh-Bishop was a recent divorcee hired to help he rehabilitate so that he could rejoin society. Melanie appeared to have it all, but one day out of the blue her husband of six years serves her with divorce papers and disappears. The opportunity to work at Ryder Rehabilitation center is just the break she needs to move on with her life and put the past behind her. Rolland has no idea who he really is or whether he has a family somewhere in the world. The only thing he knows is nobody has tried to find him. Due to an unfortunate fire at Ryder's, Melanie and Rolland are given the opportunity to privately on Rolland's rehabilitation. Melanie tries to fight her attraction, because it is unethical for a therapist to become romantically involved with a patient. Rolland's mental disability won't allow him to understand why they can't be together and he refuses to be brushed off. Although this was a Silhouette book, which means it was only 216 pages, Ms. Green makes every page count. There was a wonderful selection of supporting characters that added charm to the overall story. I found myself laughing out loud so many times, I just knew the people around me thought I was crazy. The love that grew between Rolland and Melanie was so warm, honest and touching, that I could actually feel the pangs in my own heart. It made me believe that not even a brain injury can keep true soul mates apart. I simply loved it!
