Great northwoods mystery author

I found this book by accident on the shelf at the library as I was looking for another book. I almost didn't keep reading it after the beginning and discovering the topic. But, fortunately I was chilled, under the blankets on the couch , and too lazy to get up and get another book. I'm now going to read all his books. November 30, 2007

Unknown and vastly underrated

I came across this Novel at a used book store and what a find it was! The story revolves around a group on men who each winter go to a hunting cabin for deer season. But unknown to the others, one of their group is a serial killer who hunts down other hunters for the joy of killing them. This book kept me on the edge of my seat (so to speak), as the story unfolded waiting for the killer to be discovered. Lot's of suspense. This story under the right hands would make an outstanding film. I have read several of Gunnard Landers books and this is by far the best although his book "The Deer Killers" was also very good.
