The Hunters is the story of the Hunters Guild during the Middle Ages. The story follows Mathias Shalam, a Hunter from the Southern Deserts, who has recently come to Europe in search of a new contract. In his role as a tracker and hunter of illusive and dangerous beasts, Mathias works to protect human settlements from attacks by these semi-intelligent creatures. In the process, he must prove himself worthy of his contract by unraveling a series of mysterious assaults which ultimately bring him face-to-face with a terrifying plot forged in an unholy alliance between various species of the creatures. With the help of his fellow Hunters, he must navigate new terrain, track down and fight illusive monsters, solve mysterious puzzles, and even navigate the tense politics of his guildmates.
