The Hunted: Trackers & Besieged

Peggy Brannigan is in Alaska studying the Inupiaq culture for her anthropological dissertation when the myth of the mysterious stone dwellers becomes all too real. Kidnapped and held captive by Geirwolf Valkraad, Peggy is forced to face the harsh reality that she can never escape him. She might be more distraught if she didn't desire him so much. Jaid Black is very good a creating highly sexual worlds that just cross over the line of taboo. While forced seduction plays a huge role in Besieged, there is also a very strong element of romance in it as well. While it's true that Peggy is forced into her circumstances and she experiences a few frightening moments, there is a very happily ever after in Besieged. Wolf wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to Peggy and Peggy fights him every step of the way. Besieged should be an unimaginable nightmare, but with Jaid Black's twist, it becomes a hot fantasy instead. Nannette Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

One of the two stories is great - a must buy!

This book includes two stories by different authors. 5 stars for TRACKERS by J.W. McKenna. Wow! Read this if you want high-risk roller-coater ride excitement with a fright that comes while running and being hunted with the odds against you. I couldn't stop reading, I had to know what was going to happen. I was so nervous my heartbeat was racing. At times, I was breathless. Ok, you get the picture? The story is about Amy who is kidnapped and taken to a private wooded land with a diameter of 6 miles. Six rich men paid to hunt her. She is to be naked except for running shoes and gets a five minute head start. She is to find and get inside one of the two hidden phone booths. If she does, then she is safe and wins $50,000. If one of the men catches her before she can get to a booth, she gets $5,000 and all the men get to have sex with her. The hunters are armed with weapons (tranquilizer, bolo and net-throwing guns). They also have a dog to follow her scent and can ride in golf carts. I don't want to give any more away, but unexpected things happen, surprising things happen, it gets very interesting. There are some sex scenes, but the major draw of this story is more about suspense and the primal caveman type urges of hunting, getting and taking a female. The urges are seen mostly from the hunted female perspective. This is a wild ride. It is not typical of other erotic romance stories, at least that I've read. It is great for the emotional effects. So far I've read four Jaid Black stories about the underground viking world near Alaska. This was her first one, published in 2002. I liked it, but it was not as good as the other three, published later. I gave this story 3 stars, but I gave the other three stories 5 stars each. The other three stories are listed below. In this story, Peggy is an archaelogist studying Eskimo cultures in Alaska. She is kidnapped by Vikings who live underground. The Vikings' dress, culture and language is similar to that from many centuries earlier. Once she is there, she can never return to civilization because they do not want their existence known. The women in that society walk around naked or topless. She is forced to marry Wolf, one of the Viking men. CAUTION SPOILER: There was a nice ending having to do with Peggy's mother. AWSOME!!!

Let me just say that I loved this book. I really enjoyed the cahse. Trackers by J.W McKenna-Amy was kidnapped and forced to play the game.And what is the game? The game of being hunted by 6 men while your naked.But when Amy wins the hunters ask for a rematch, and Amy changes the rules. That they have to hunt her naked too. And her ally was Mr. Green(Jake). Besieged by Jaid Black- This is a prequal story. It was just ok for me. I didn't really like it so I hope that the rest of the series is better than this one. As you can see my preference was W.J. McKenna's story and not Jaid Blcak's. I would have purchased this book just for that story.

A Great Pair of Stories

I bought this because a had read other works by both authors. I really enjoyed Jaid Black's story "Besieged". Ms Black writes believable and enduring characters. Peggy came across as a typical career women trapped in an ancient society that treats women as chattel. Wolf is the typical Viking set on capturing a bride. They grow to love each other and work together to find a way to make their lives together work. I recommend anything that Jaid Black writes.J.W. McKenna's story is about a group of wealthy men that come together to hunt (really with paint guns and all) human prey. In this case a woman. The organizer of the hunt has done this before to other women. Amy is kidnapped and told the rules of the game. She is bound and determined that she will need be gang raped by a bunch of wealthy perverts. She gives them a run for their money and wins. Ms McKenna's stories are not for the weak of heart.These are explicit stories. If you are not into naked women and lots of sex don't buy this book.

intense and hot

This ebook has 2 stories in it. The first one is Trackers by JW MCKenna and the second is Besieged by Jaid Black. Trackers is about a group of wealthy men in a secret society that hunt women together for contests. (When I say hunt I mean that literally.) This time they are hunting Amy and Amy is not easily caught. This was the first story by JW McKenna I read and it is very engrossing.Besieged by Jaid Black was why I bought it and I was not disappointed! It is about a lady named Peggy who is in Alaska studing Eskimos for her phd and ends up getting kidnapped on the tundra by a huge Nordic man. I don't want to give away what happens but it is trademark Black HOT! I never realized monogamy could be so kinky until I started reading her books!
