When the thieving Cuckoo steals a tiny Hummingbird egg and gives it to Mama Chicken, none of the creatures realise how much the little chick will change things around the farm. With his bright plumage and darting flight, the Hummingbird chick isn't like anything they have ever seen before. There is one problem, however; none of the other animals on the farm, aside from the farmer's old dog, can hear the chick's high-pitched singing. That was, until the farmer's granddaughter, the kind and gentle Annie, came to stay, and the girl and the chick learn that they were meant to be friends.
