Rule number one in the Drop Zone is to avoid other people.One day in the near future there is an event that changes everything. Any airplane flying over an area in the western U.S. simply drops out of the sky and people living within the Drop Zone die violent deaths. The Event also causes war on American soil.Theories abound about what has caused The Event, anything from terrorism to a virus that drives people crazy. No one really knows for sure because no one can go into the Drop Zone to investigate and make it back out alive. Electronics do not work. Vehicles die.
