The Housewives of Cape Breton: Oceanview
Oceanview
Book One in the Cape Breton Housewives Series
When Paula arrives in the small coastal village of Oceanview, she believes she has done her research. She has studied the school, the housing market, the fishing seasons, and even the crime rate. What she has not prepared for is the quiet intensity of small town life.
Oceanview is beautiful. The ocean stretches wide and steady. The houses line the shore like they have stood there forever. The people smile easily. They also watch closely.
In this tight knit community, loyalty runs deep and history matters. Friendships are layered with years of shared stories. The Co op, the school, the church hall, and the rink are more than places. They are where alliances are formed, where whispers travel faster than the tide, and where belonging is something you earn over time.
Through the lives of seven women, Oceanview begins to reveal itself. Colleen keeps things moving. Sharon stands firm. Mary Lee notices everything. Tracey carries her own quiet strength. Kat reads the weather better than most. Tina, a successful children's author with a Nova Scotia Duck Toller always close by, understands more than she says. And Paula, new to town, is learning that fitting in may be more complicated than she imagined.
Some secrets are harmless. Some are not.
And not every rumour in Oceanview is wrong.
If you enjoy layered characters, coastal settings, and stories about the quiet power of women navigating marriage, motherhood, ambition, and community, Oceanview is only the beginning.
