Incredibly well written!

This is the story of Grace who worked as a housemaid at Riverton starting near the beginning of World War I. Her story, told from the perspective of both age and youth, is intertwined (more than she realizes) with that of the family she serves. The author has the rare talent of bringing not only the characters to life, but the times as well. You can see, hear and even smell what Grace does! It's a NYT bestseller for good reason!
