The Hot Easter is partly based on a true-life scenario set in rural England during the recession hit mid 1980's. Geoff Brown is a struggling Landscape Gardener and his main weekly clients the Marston's have to sell their beloved Mossley Manor and downsize. The new owners of the Manor are Keith Dagfield a middle-aged obese self-made telecommunications millionaire and his younger sexy trophy wife the Californian Natasha. Natasha and Geoff have an affair which peaks over the freak heatwave of the Easter weekend of 1984. Keith Dagfield gets tipped off and hatches a sinister plot to get Geoff off the scene for a long time. But his devious plan proves to be his downfall...
