Within These Walls A Poet: Squatting back from the street/with grass to walk across in front,/the fenced field beyond and once/nasturtiums wriggling under/the screen to cling flowering/against the door, this will always/be Myrna's house, where she/smoked and dreamed and wrote,/bringing the sea to her pen/in starlight and storm, where/gales raged in winter,/young redwoods grew tall/and the moon brought eerie shadows./Here old sorrows/were remembered, the pastures of youth made green again.
