The Holy Mass for Kids: A Simple Guide to Understanding Every Prayer, Response, and Part of the Catholic Mass
A Child's Guide to Understanding, Loving, and Participating in the Holy Mass
What if the Holy Mass became your child's favorite hour of the week?
For many children, the Mass can seem confusing. There are prayers to follow, responses to remember, moments of standing, sitting, and kneeling, and sacred traditions they may not fully understand.
But behind every prayer, every gesture, and every part of the Mass is a beautiful story-God's story of love for His people.
My First Mass helps children discover the meaning behind the Holy Mass in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate way. Written especially for young Catholics, this book explains what happens during Mass, why it matters, and how children can participate with confidence, reverence, and joy.
Inside, children will discover:
- What the Holy Mass is and why Catholics celebrate it
- The meaning behind the prayers, readings, and responses
- Why we gather to worship God every Sunday
- The beauty and importance of the Eucharist
- What happens during Holy Communion
- Common Mass responses every child should know
