One of the best

I love to cook and I have 3 grown daughters that are following in my footsteps. I have bought extra copies of this book to give them as it is an easy, informative book with great illustrations. The recipes are wonderful and still some of my favorites that I use again and again.

Superb

I don't know how he did it, but John Hadamuscin managed to create a cookbook to appeal to everyone's taste: there's kids favorites, holiday traditionalists, comfort food lovers, food snobs, gourmets and gourmands. I have over fifteen(!) holiday cookbooks, but always come back to this one, my absolute favorite.

OF ALL THE COOKBOOKS ON MY SHELF...

Of all the cookbooks on my shelf, this is the one I use the most. The recipes are excellent, easily adaptable. The ingredients are not too weird or hard to find for purchase. Instructions are straight forward and easy to understand, and I am continually inspired by the photography. I purchased a copy shortly after the book was published (one of those RARE book club surprises!) and after nearly twenty years the copy has been used to the point of crustiness. For anyone who loves to cook, and loves the holidays, and doesn't shy away from combining the two: this is a terrific book! I use it all year round. Still!
