Target: Victor Clément !

This is a fitting sequel to 'The History of Victor Cl ment' - the adventures of a bastard child after being dumped in a Paris suburb as a six-month baby and an old man with a brilliant mind and a career in the Royal Navy then as a lawyer. An innocent child victim kidnapped from an institution in Paris and subjected to an horrific transplant operation, is now hunted by the foul regime which arranged his kidnap so they can update their tissue and blood records on what was their most successful operation to date and after their own extensive bank of samples was sabotaged after being transferred to a hospital in Milan. Unless they can obtain this information from the victim, Beijing stand to lose the billions of Yuan they have expended over the years on experiments on their own Falun Gong and other minority groups, murdered in pursuit of excellence in transplant surgery, which they need to sell to the world to bolster their failing economy. They enlist a team of men and women to track down this boy - but not all those briefed to recover the boy are on the side of the Beijing masters. Many involved in the China transplant business are themselves murdering thugs with no respect for human rights; others are secretly appalled by it and want an opportunity to break away, but they cannot do that unless they can escape from China. But when the man in the Chinese embassy in London, briefed to oversee the operation, believes it all to be going wrong, he turns to a couple of French thugs to help. This enrages the Chinese special agent, Fok, a brutal man with a penchant for snuff-movies, who has, since his arrival in the UK, already killed two of his own people, and then stupidly believing in his own infallibility, shoots three men who try to steal his car ... now a wanted man, he panics; he is determined to get to the boy Victor before the French guys, who, with the promise of a substantial cash reward if they succeed, are recruited to finish the job. However, unknown to the Paris team or to the Chinese thug, the British and French authorities are closing in on them. During all this, the boy is still infuriating his teachers with his brilliance and plain-speaking and with the substantial wealth estate he inherited from his father, the man who raped his child-servant girl. As the author says, a fitting sequel to 'The History of Victor Cl ment'. Some descriptions of extreme violence and strong language.
