Outing One...

over-serving cultural coercion at a time. Look, if you've ever spent time at MIT (yeah me too!), you should have realized that it's an insane asylum. This book explains why--too much gamemanship on the part of the professors. Here's a representative quote from an MIT professor asked about rewards for eccentricity, for NOT playing the game as it is defined by the Institution: "...Now the question is, do we love our students enough? That is a terrible way of saying it, but I mean it in the real sense. Well, I certainly don't. I'm not that kind of person. " (p. 74 Chapter 2: Distraction and Expropriation)
