The Heretic's Guide to Heaven and Hell is an unvarnished, easy to read, and very personal exploration of basic Christianity. It addresses the basic beliefs that are held in common by all of the different 'flavors' of Christianity, and provides relatively objective analysis of some of the more unusual claims that Christians make. The Heretic's Guide provides any reader, regardless of their knowledge of religion, with a good understanding of basic Christianity. It succeeds in its intention not to be an exhaustive academic reference examining the breadth and depth of Christianity; it does, however, provide enough food for thought for anyone to make up their own mind regarding this weird religion and its equally weird collection of adherents.
