Michael goes on a summer holiday in a yacht, with Jill, his step-mom; Tina, his private teacher who is hired by his step-mom; and Pia, his step-mom's long time friend who serves as Captain. Tina has been tutoring Michael at home, after school hours, for the last two years. British Tina's teachings have been very different from the curriculum of Michael's Swizz college. He has come to adore and worship Tina more and more. In the beginning of this story Michael senses that this trip will most likely affect the way he will live his life in the future. He therefore hesitates with agreeing to go along.A few days later however Michael surrenders to the idea of Tina not only keeping her role as his mentor the following years, but he also proposes to her almost as soon as they have gone to sea. Tina accepts his proposal, but insists that they have to wait until Michael finds his own place. Both Tina and Jill want Michael to become a strong, fit, resourceful and smart young man. They also want him to be led by them. The two scheming and attractive older women promise Michael much in terms of both pleasure and of guidance. They also demand much of him in return.
