The Heikoff-McKeown Families

The Heikoff Family immigrated from the Vilna area of Lithuana shortly after the beginning of the 20th century. The surname changed from variations of Gaikovsky to Heikoff. In the old country, the family had been involved in commerce and education. They continued this trend in the new country. The Mckeowns were also immigrants, arriving from Ireland around 1910. They also worked hard and encourage higher education for their children. The two families were united when Michael Bruce McKeown married Erica Faith Heikoff.
