I picked up my very first guitar at the age of seven. I can still remember how it felt in my arms, like it had always belonged there. It was an extension of my body as I became one with the music. The chords against my fingers with the band wrapped around my body, as if it was holding me together...and it was. Music was the only thing holding me together at times.

The only thing I'd ever wanted was to change the world through my songs.

And so I did.

I became The Heartthrob.

I have the life I've always dreamed about. Fans screaming my name until their throats were raw, girls willing to do just about anything to get even a second of my attention, and I had all the money I could ever need and then some.

So, why in a life surrounded by fans, praise, money, lust, and fame...did I feel so alone?

Because none of them were her.

The one person I wanted to sing just one more song for...

Tug on the ends of her honey blonde hair...

Feel the electricity of her presence before it was even known...

The little neighbor girl was all grown up now, but that was a song that could never be sung. A story that shouldn't be told.
